This guy calls himself “The Amazing Atheist”, but it seems he’s not amazing enough to understand that it’s not the responsibility of historically and currently oppressed groups to fight equally for the rights of those in power in order to call themselves an equality movement. I guess this same guy thinks that LGBT folks also needs to campaign for the rights of straight people with the same amount of effort, passion and resources? You know, because straight people are also limited in a heterosexist society? Or I guess people of color are just racist whenever they don’t fight just as hard for white people’s rights (oh god, I felt gross just typing that)? 

If he does think this, he’s an asshole. Consistent at least, but an asshole. But if he doesn’t, he needs to re-evaluate why he only considers the issues that women fight for, and feminists fight for, to not be important enough for a movement of it’s own that doesn’t have to take on the issues of people who have historically had more power than those that the movement generally focuses on. Why do women have to divide their effort in half for men on a quest for power? If anyone is paying attention, it’s pretty easily recognizable that men have had more than half the power for a long, long while.

So yeah, in other news, stop fucking posting this shit in the feminism tag. The Amazing Atheist is actually just a douchebag who thinks that because feminists don’t do what they want him to do, he can call them “cunts” in the name of equality. You know, because using a gendered epithet will totally make a group largely composed of women want to drop everything and cater to his needs.
